We need to go beyond calling on Dems to reject RFK and others (though I think Whitehouse may be on board--not sure abt Fetterman).

We need to get better at assigning responsibility to Republicans when they confirm and the inevitable happens.

This is necessarily right. They got their court challenge. Now the posture of it will just get murkier--and possibly, there will be better argued ones.

They do want SCOTUS to weigh in. But they fucked up the starting line. As they did other ones.
I dunno, they had their court cases once they wouldn’t spend NIH & foreign aid grants. They gained nothing by adding all the other stuff they shut down Monday. This seems like someone trying to cover their ass for freezing Meals On Wheels.

Want to know what a federal funding freeze does? It takes money from families that just lost their home in a wildfire. It takes resources away from vets. It leaves 72M Americans without access to healthcare. Trump, Elon, & their billionaire buddies laugh their way to the bank while Americans suffer.

Trump said in a debate that he was “not going to read” the Heritage Foundation-crafted document and routinely distanced himself from the policy directives during the campaign. But his first-day staffing and policy moves read like a near-direct implementation of the policy.
