Scopa pizzeria on Cuba. "Mother of Coffee" Ethiopian on Left Bank. If you want a souvlaki i had a good one at abrakebabra on Manners. They put chips in it though which is confusing

Tomorrow is the anniversary of Material Prosody's release – an excuse for me to finally make my first post here.

Forever grateful to @loscil.ca, Zimoun, Nicolas Bernier, @drewdaniel.bsky.social, & Alba Triana for being a part of this project, & to @room40.bsky.social for mastering/publishing it.

I've just been looking at this Bandcamp change. I think I managed to set up Stripe without being a "business", choosing "Individual or sole trader" and just entering my name

I keep saying this. The Right fundamentally are *not* hypocrites. They believe in double standards. For them, double standards are correct, inevitable, and desirable, because the idea that certain groups are better than others and should therefore have more rights is the basis of right-wing ideology

No, the fake “free speech” crowd isn’t going to defend the professor fired for teaching exactly what her course was about. We can stop noting those “failures” now. Let’s move on from calling them hypocrites. They’re not hypocrites! They’re fascists, authoritarians, or apologist.

10 years of watching Italian genre cinema and I never saw this. It's SO GOOD, all style no sense, drugs, satanism, a pitchfork murder

been thinking a lot recently about how the zone has always been honest and benevolent to me, so i bet these ideas are going to be huge. a shame their reach has been so limited by our misguided spill containment efforts. soon everyone will understand. it would've been a crime to not break containment

I saw evelyn ida morris do a set with a korg mono/poly a couple of years ago and was shocked at how heavy it sounded. There is a behringer reissue of course.

This is some fine trash: bizarre, beyond-parody acting/dialog, incoherent plot, but every shot looks INCREDIBLE. Soundtrack is very 1996 - sleepy breakbeats and chanting, à la Enigma/Deep Forest. Russell Mulcahy also did Highlander and Razorback, so you know it's gonna be fun

#Watched Silent Trigger (1996) - back on the Dolph-wagon. Russell Mulcahy makes the most Pyun-ass movie that Pyun never made. Pure style, no substance, shot in Montreal, but feels like a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk wasteland. Weird and disorienting and arch. You know, … I think I kind of loved it.
