Glutathione-specific gamma–glutamylcyclotransferase 1 (CHAC1) increases kidney disease risk by modulating ferroptosis
CHAC1 is a kidney disease risk gene, and removal of one copy of Chac1 protects mice from kidney disease by controlling glutathione and ferroptosis.
