There are so many songs (especially in country music) that have “The Gulf of Mexico” in the lyrics or title. I guess they’re “historical “ now. The Gulf of America is pretty clunky—what rhymes well with THAT?

Today was nuts. Hit the ground running at the office at 6:30 am, didn’t have time to even use the restroom, still working just before I walked out the door dropping last minute mail. Busy=good, frantic=bad. Brightened my day to see the Valentine’s Day candy display at my favorite confectionery!
