Not kidding here. Games like SimCity and Cities: Skylines teach you how to balance services, education, health, zoning and development all while not going bankrupt.

Makes you appreciate the complexities and trade offs that local and regional governments make every day

Thread from @nateinthewild: I think what’s being missed in all this government shutdown stuff is that people and agencies can contribute to *society* without contributing to the economy. Stuff like libraries, USPS, USFS and social services don’t make the stock market go up, but they are inherently GREAT ideas for a healthy and happy populace.

Things dont need to be profitable to be worthwhile and I wish more people understood that.
