Nadim Zahawi reflecting on the country not working and moving to Reform . Has it not occurred to him that that dis function is entirely down to his and his chums governance during 14 years of chaotic Tory rule . He’s just interested in magaging his own wealth.

Has everyone gone Mad?
Reform has become the top political party for traditionally left-leaning mothers, a survey of Mumsnet users found, in what has been labelled a wake-up call for Labour ⬇️
Mumsnet mothers have always leaned Labour. Now Reform is ahead
Rising support for Nigel Farage’s party — if not the man himself — may worry the government

I think it's hopeless trying to figure out what the thinking is behind this, they've just lost their minds, they have fried their brains chasing Farage down Twitter rabbit holes.

This situation was created when we stopped holding politicians to account & when jokey, lying, grifters, like far@g£ & Johnson, were allowed to spout whatever bull they wanted to them make money.
The pathetic ‘balance’ argument lack of journalistic integrity helped these crooks.
Now we’re here. 🤦‍♂️
They lie about the ECHR.
Just like they lied about Brexit. Claiming if we just got rid of that ‘European’ thing, we’d be free, we’d have control, all our problems solved…
It’s NOT TRUE.
We’d inflict more chaos on ourselves and torch our own human rights framework for NOTHING.
For liars.
Again.
The European Convention on Human Rights is being misrepresented in the UK, says former Supreme Court President Lady Hale👇

Reform are so grim and bad sports to boot.

Tied elections get settled at the toss of a coin. Standard practice. No need for law suits.

I've lived in Birmingham six years. In that time, so far two cyclists have been killed directly along my short commute.

Here's wishing big lawsuits on the people who have the power to prevent these results but prefer car owner convenience instead.

If you want places to be accessible to older and disabled people installing benches is one very helpful thing to do.

Seems a few people are worried that young people will sit on a bench and be a bit annoying, so the bench won’t be installed after all.

I'm guessing Robert Jenrick might be hard-pressed to see a black face if he walked round his own constituency of Newark for 90 minutes, given the ethnic minority population of its main town looks to be smaller than the white population of Handsworth. (Source: citypopulation.de/en/uk/eastmi...)

This is a lie.

There are many criticisms you might sensibly and truthfully make of the Sentencing Council and the Sentencing Guidelines. I’ve been making them for years.

But this is an outright lie. Pure fabrication. A fraud on the public.

Just had marvellous treatment on the NHS staffed in the main part by immigrant health workers- yay 🎉 thanks . You are most welcome and I’m grateful.
“Immigrants are the backbone of the NHS... It’s time to celebrate them not demonise them… Your enemies aren’t other poor people. They are people who extract wealth from our society to fill their coffers.” Mothin Ali, Green Party deputy co-leader

Nobody seems to hold the businesses accountable for employing illegal migrants . Currently you need legitimate documentation to work here , so who is ignoring this ? Companies who want cheap labour and probably at the same time mouthing off at illegal immigration. An ID card won’t change this .

We've heard so little from the asylum seekers themselves, and this is an exemplary piece. My wife, as a paediatrician, has treated kids from Eritrea, who've taken 3 years to get here, walking across deserts and being beaten & imprisoned along the way. The hostility they're now facing is sickening.
I’ve been frustrated to see so much of the ongoing story about asylum seekers and the protests against them covered without hearing from those seeking asylum and now being met with hostility and hatred

I set out to speak to those directly affected to find out about the impact this is having 👇
We escaped war and torture but now we feel unsafe in Britain
Special report: Amid protests and rising aggression towards asylum seekers across the country, we spoke to those being targeted
