Man, I watched first-run Dawson's Creek episodes on a 13 inch black and white television set with a UHF dial.

We've been watching Mad Men because I never finished it, and Matt wants me to see it, but he probably wasn't expecting that all the old songs would earworm me and I'd be walking around the house days later singing "C'est Magnifique"

I really love this article because it explains to me the real choices behind what I've been thinking about which is that the structure and style of Heated Rivalry reminds me more of like... Normal People (the show)... than most American romance-y TV things.
There's a lot of talk about the steaminess of #HeatedRivalry, but there are more reasons to watch. Jacob Tierney's direction and the microexpression work of the actors is sublime — especially as mainstream American-produced streaming prioritizes "passive viewing."
