I note without snark that even here on Bluesky I’ve seen a number of smart people saying that *this* time the MAGA lock on GOP was finally cracking up, too much even for them, etc. Point isn’t told-ya-so; to me it’s just once again: nobody’s coming to save us but ourselves.

Well, sure, it’s true that “Afghanistan, Haiti, and Somalia” are in terrible condition. It’s also true that the U.S. has invaded all three, and, when not invading them, paid warlords in guns & gold to terrorize their people.
