They started working on discrediting antifa 9 years ago. I imagine they came to their attention at that time because a lot of the earliest "not my president" marches after his first election included visible antifa contingents.

Well, yes, but that's beside the point.

He's not trying to inform people of some fact. He's a fascist; he's building a mythology. In the mythology he's building, he's associating antifa with all historical antifascism as a way of discrediting anti-fascism, generally.

This administration is flooding the zone so furiously that people have largely lost track of the lethal attacks on boats in the Caribbean, the gov’t shutdown, the economy, failed release of the Epstein files & so much else. It’s a tactic of would-be strongmen.
