Hello, new folks! Might as well introduce myself. I do a lot of things (though less so lately due to chronic illness flare) so you might know me from:
+ Video game music, including my band The Returners
+ Streaming games on Twitch
+ Writing (mostly fanfic these days)
+ Generally talking a lot

It's interesting seeing the different ways resistance has formed in different cities. Los Angeles Organized, Chicago Radicalized, and Portland Got Weird as Fuck. All 3 have had success unifying their respective cities.

I guess my point is there are multiple paths to ungovernability.

If you're going to be talking about FFVI anyway, I want to point out that the retranslation of the opera is physically much, much, much easier to sing (better syllables/vowels), and yet some of us persist in singing the un-poetic, less-singable Woolsey lyrics because we love them from childhood

I love the "son of a sandworm" screenshot b/c it's such a perfect example; the FFVI GBA+ script is infinitely better overall, but a few Woolseyisms have so much character it hurts to have them changed, and submariner to sandworm is one of them!

I think I do want to stream the chapters, but not as my immediate welcome back to streaming. I'm going to try something more casual like an art stream or something as a belated streamiversary, and we will see if I'm able to stream again based on that!

I know you're not trying to say anything rude or inappropriate here, it's clear to me that you are trying to be supportive and I really appreciate that!

But there is a common problem where when the sexualization of women comes up, men seem to have an urge to assert what they do or don't find hot

I do want to point out that what is being talked about is the treatment and sexualization of women and girls

I'm not sure a man's personal sexual preferences are really an appropriate topic for a conversation like this; it's not about what people think is "hot" , it's about respecting human beings

Curves are not what makes a woman.

I had bigger curves than most grown women when I was 12 years old. Those curves did not make me a woman.

Women who aren't curvy are still women. No matter how un-curvy they are.

This is a weird thing to say and I urge you to reconsider it.
