Feeling rather sad today. I think Facebook is a marvelous way to connect to people, and I love the Threads interface. Yet, I’m disgusted by Zuck, and will miss the friends who have left. BlueSky is OK, but I am afraid that in a few years, it will be bought out by the next billionaire. 1/2

I said this almost immediately after the election. The teaching of critical thinking, let alone history, has been totally lost. (Ironic fact: I hated history in High School)
Most of our problems could be solved by properly funding public education.

Some people ask which of the people that Trump nominated is the most dangerous, but it seems to me that the most dangerous aspect of the situation is that Trump is trying to make the Senate submit to patently absurd nominees to establish the precedent that they don’t meaningfully check his power.
