The duality of the situation when you end up parallel with a train heading the opposite direction as you, and by happenstance it puts you in a position making very dedicated eye contact with a person on the opposing train. There is both an awkwardness to it aswell as something magical about it..

It'll never seize to amuse me how "amazing" the lyrics of the intro to the kids show that *made me* are.. I grew up on the Swedish version, which surprisingly has really good and thought out lyrics! It tends to be the other way as, translations goes. Yet it's the English version that's silly..

Going in to 2025, its important that you *actually own* the queer and trans literature you consume. That's why for ebooks you should always look for DRM-free storefronts like Itch, or an author/publisher's website, where you can buy a downloadable .epub you can read anywhere, and is yours forever

When you make purchases on Itch, the files are yours to keep forever. You aren't "licensing" it; Amazon can't delete it from your library.

if you want artists to make weirder art, you have to create stable living conditions that allow them to. homogeneity isn't a matter of artists lacking culture-- there are many soulful artists out there-- it's a matter of unregulated corporate dominance combined with artists who cant afford to create

I think often about how rapidly the human brain has had to accommodate holding this much sorrow. About how recently we've had the technology to know other people's suffering on a global, daily scale, rather than only holding the sadness and fear of our local communities. Been completely taken over by "the most awful" illness I've ever had to deal with but I'm finally starting to feel the other side again.. 💜 Never a fever but it completely took me out, was a really tough go. So happy to finally make it through and get to experience life again. Begone foul sickness!
