Incredible work universe in setting it up today for a cinematic cycle with my neighbours to a community meeting.
Managed to pass the @lewishamcyclists.bsky.social cargo bike (and rider) on the way out and then happen upon a @wheelsforwellbeing.org.uk session packing up on the way back.

Having to leave the workspace where we have run a community cycle workshop for nearly a decade now. Delivering bike fixing, bike maintenance training, refurbishing old bikes and passing them on. All for those on lower incomes in the area. A few memories here.

So so sad to leave the old Scout Hut but we will be back somewhere in Deptford again with our mobile workshop in the New Year and still actively looking for a permanent venue as well. If anyone can help do get in touch, bearing in mind we are cash poor!

Those who say 20mph/30kmh limits are only needed 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴 are ignoring the fact that children don't live 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘭𝘴.

Children, and everyone else, need the protection of 20mph/30kmh limits on their whole cycling and walking route from home to school, shops, work and friends. It's why #20

I live in a suburban town, and when you gently suggest that perhaps drivers slow down, or, gasp, we install something like a speed hump on a street, drivers act like they've been personally insulted.
