In the summer of 2000, when I was almost 17, my brother won tickets to the Third Eye Blind concert at Jones Beach. We went with our cousin.
During the concert, they played I Wanna Be Sedated as a tribute to Joey Ramone, who had just passed away.

I know for sure that Colbert is going to do much more interesting, impactful, and creative things once this final year at CBS comes to an end. We should be very angry about what is happening to our society, and how easily institutions knuckle under to authoritarianism, but there's no need to mourn.

I need you to understand that the constant litmus tests, asking Jews to prove ourselves to you, has made this process even more torturous because you’ve forced us to publicly declare war on each other and you won’t give your allies any public safe space to discuss the details of how we’re agonizing.
All the Jews I know personally have been deeply wrestling with our identities, suffering and agonizing. Don't just say it's unconstitutional, remind people that the constitution is full of very good ideas designed to prevent authoritarianism, and most people who want to ignore it want that specifically because they are authoritarian.
