U.S. military spending is set to hit a record $1 trillion.

Roughly half of defense spending goes to private contractors that routinely price-gouge the government.

Meanwhile, the Pentagon has failed EIGHT straight audits.

This is the military industrial complex on steroids.

For the first time, the Kennedy Center Awards were presented in the tiny Oval Office instead of the Kennedy Center For Performing Arts. Donald used his now-vulgar Oval Office for the ceremony to avoid the embarrassment of TV audiences seeing an almost empty theater.

Tove Jansson's (1957) illustration from her book 'Moominland Midwinter'. Moomintroll, unlike his family who hibernate, decides to stay up through the harsh winter. It is a tale of endurance, acceptance and learning to live with the discomfort of uncertainty #WomensArt

What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

Trump says we need to go after drug cartels.

Meanwhile, he disbanded a DOJ task force that took them on.

And he pardoned a former Honduran president convicted of drug trafficking.

Trump doesn't care about drugs — he wants to be able to declare war on anyone he labels an enemy.

It's a power grab.
