Almost nothing hotter than a man who can dance and sing. And do it no matter what, full of energy and committed passion.

This is spectacular and so appreciated when it pops up again every year!
It's been 8 years since the iconic moment Tom Holland lip-synced "Umbrella" by Rihanna for Zendaya. 🎥

I wonder as I sit here, listening to the rain outside my open window, remembering childhood days of doing the same on a porch and feeling that sense of calm, whether children today will ever have that in the future, since most only hear the sounds of their tech all day and rarely venture outside. ☔

Why is it now that wedding dresses that don't expose every ounce of skin known as being for the "modest bride?" Why is that not just a pretty dress? Should we now call the when ones with cleavage everywhere and see through everything the skanky bride dress? Genuinely wondering why the labeling.

Anyone who follows me here or on the old place knows I've been trying to take the Bar.

When do you call it b/c signs tell you otherwise? J24 included a fire, tornado, & sickness. So far this cycle it's been ER/broken ribs, major snow so kids home, & now jury duty. (And yes, I WANT to do it.) 😖

as LA is burning, a swath of the country is recovering from an ice storm, Alabama is preparing for up to 6” of snow and I’m praying for the TX power grid, a reminder:

we don’t need climate action just for future generations, we need it now.

the climate crisis is here, all around us

I want to tell you about my friend Jamo..(I have his permission to share his story)

He did something so terrible that he was sentenced to Juvenile Life without parole at the age of 15

30 years later, he was resentenced & released after SCOTUS ruled on JLWOP

Clue, keep Tim Curry.
Since everything is a joke/hellscape, let's do something fun.

What movie should be remade with all Muppets, except you keep ONE of the original human actors in their original role, and what OG human actor do you keep?

I have many ideas but one I would love is Die Hard and keep Bruce Willis.

Uh oh Twitter is starting to feel like the store you would go to at the mall in junior high but now that you’re in high school you do NOT go to that store anymore you go to cooler stores even though that store kinda rocked once but now it’s full of people you don’t want to be seen with.

I pulled this shirt out for one of my wee ones to wear tomorrow, asking why he only wore it once in kindergarten a couple months ago. He said because other kids made fun of him in it. Because of the shirt.

IN KINDERGARTEN.

He refuses to wear it now.

Two things: (1) that judge needed to chill (although I will say having lived near NYC & now out in green co. of map quoted, 3 hr drive is v. v. different depending where you live - out here, that's nothing); (2) original article talks re: OH, interesting b/c Chaut Co is HUGE red, but in blue state.
Side note & lawyer lesson learned: About 20 years ago, I had a motion hearing in Ashtabula—as far in Ohio as you can get from Columbus. During small talk, I mentioned the long trip. The annoyed judge said he was sick & tired of Columbus lawyers filing stuff there & then complaining about the drive.

You know...I do think there's a place for professional wear. When I dress the part, I feel the part, & I think that carries over into how I act, speak, or maybe even think. Lord knows I'm not my best mentally when chill-axing in my PJs while working.

Then again, I write my best articles in sweats.
Decorum matters. When Sen. Dixie filibusters an anti-lynching law, or Sen. Ballcoach single-handedly gums up the Pentagon to punish lady soldiers for having sex, they do it in a jacket and tie. Because they respect the office, goddammit.
