I moved back here thinking Sammy would love getting to play in the snow more days than she got to in Seattle and… it really hasn’t been snowing
It's been hard to buy some decent snowflakes in Boston. A chance for a coating or so tomorrow, but if not measureable the city will move to 3rd longest streak on record. Last measureable snowfall in Boston was Feb 16th! #wbz

I’ve been getting a huge influx of spam the past couple of weeks, which is annoying enough on its own, but it’s infuriating me how many of these calls, texts, and emails are imitating government benefits including SNAP and heating payment relief. Just preying on people who already can’t afford it.

The hepatitis B vaccine had been recommended for all newborns since 1991.

From 1990-2019, acute hepatitis B infections reported among children and teens fell 99 percent. www.nytimes.com/2025/09/16/w...
Breaking: After contentious debates and three failed attempts at a vote, a federal vaccine committee decided on Friday to end the decades-long recommendation that all newborns be immunized at birth against hepatitis B.

Pretty notable, in my view, that Kagan points out the Supreme Court's pro-gerrymandering decision in Texas is a step-by-step instruction manual for states to draw discriminatory maps while ducking judicial review, and the majority has...nothing to say in response www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25p...

The "R" word is a revived slur for the newly shameless.
My pitch for not using it ever.
A quick and dirty thread: 🧵
My uncle Kevin Hanley suffered a brain injury at birth in ‘46. Doctors told my grandmother to send him away and forget about her “mentally retarded” infant. She refused - Kev went on to HS, Special Olympics, worked at Stop & Shop in Quincy, lived independently. He was the light of our family.

I live by the end of the Orange Line, and for the first time ever, the lights that indicate which of the two parked trains will leave next lied to me. Waited on the other (with other people) as the other train left, then waited some more. I think this calls for an extension of the holiday weekend.

In high school I had a grocery store job that had a 45 minute Christmas playlist. On one of my longer Saturday shifts, I had to hear this cursed song 10-11 times. I still have a Pavlovian-esque response to it of rage.
Save your hate for Sir Paul McCartney and his Simply Terrible Christmas time please.
