Forgive the earnest post here, but one year ago this week, Global Tetrahedron took over The Onion. We've since brought back the paper and ONN, dramatically increased revenue, and hired more writers and artists.

But most importantly, as other places debased themselves, we refused to bend the knee.

so, see how bernie is passing the torch to the younger generation? see how he's creating space for AOC by using his name, then allowing her to lead? see how SOME older people act like caring elders, and others act like half-dead, out-of-touch narcissistic control freaks?

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

I've been screaming it for years: the right in Canada is headed down an American-style path on almost every issue because the right-wing media plays that tune, and the right-wing pretend media plays that tune. It's headed in one direction, and we have never had a clearer view of where that leads.

This is more important than you realize. Bluesky doesn’t downgrade links. Which means news sites will get more traffic from here than other sites.

Which gives them economic reasons to post here first.
