I have generally been heartened by Pritzker's rhetoric, but we need more right now than him telling us to keep filming ICE. People have been detained for doing that. People across Chicagoland have been brave, and we need brave leadership. We need more of a plan than urging individual action.

The scene at Broadview today is calm, no sights of federal agents other than the occasional car going in the front gate. A UHaul truck was backed into the side garage earlier.

About a dozen protesters are holding signs, dancing to Mexican music and yelling “shame” when agents enter/exit.

There should be no forgiveness for Ezra Klein, Gavin Newsom, or anyone else who whitewashed Charlie Kirk's image in the wake of his death. They participated in a cleanup job that is facilitating Kirk's status as a "martyr." They have had a hand in the harm the administration will do in Kirk's name.
