A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

This is somehow too complex for a lot of people: If you take away due process for someone, then you take away due process for everyone. It only works as a universal right. Otherwise, they can just say you're part of an excluded group and you have no ability to prove you're not.

The federal workers I've spoken with emphasize it isn't just their substantive work that's suffering - basic organizational functions like payroll and IT are breaking down.
