The Leeds Care Leavers Christmas are having a FUNdraiser on Sunday 19th October, 3pm at the Slung Low Warehouse.

We had a ball last year and we're going to do it all over again.

Well, fuck that. We need to stop intellectualising it. No more tolerance for intolerance. We won the debate years ago. Let's stop litigating, because every time we do racists like Farage, Trump or Robinson steal a tiny shred of legitimacy. And that way disaster lies.

The POV of is crystal clear. Racism is a bad thing. A thing to be resisted and fought.

But that is not the prevailing opinion amongst the politicians at the moment. We're being told that racism (along with other prejudices) is to be understood and excused. That it is nuanced and complicated. 2/3

Saw the brilliant touring production of Sorkin's To Kill A Mockingbird in Leeds on Saturday. It's got some uncomfortable but authentic to the period language in it which hits hard. However, the thing that really struck me is how unequivocal it is about the racism, white supremacy and prejudice. 1/3
