FWIW this entire affair has demonstrated the meaningful dividing line isn't really about whether your at the center or the left flank of the party or anything policy-wise like that. It's really about a stance towards the incumbent government; are you truly an opposition are aren't you?

Here’s the problem: Even if we somehow get these fuckers out, how can we be assured that the same shit won’t happen again in 4 years? Are we supposed to rebuild institutions twice a decade? Will our former allies bother with us again knowing another asshole will be elected by the next Olympics?
