Tom Lehrer was a favorite of my parents and we had all of his albums. As children we loved that he was funny and even if we didn’t know what he was talking about all the time, we knew he was giving someone a hard time. Rest well sir. www.nytimes.com/2025/07/27/a...

I love this idea.
Hey NBC and Seth Meyers, y’all need to book the largest possible venue in D.C. on April 26th and do a competing fundraiser and comedy show that actually celebrates the First Amendment. Televise it. Make Amber Ruffin the central act. Send a message that free speech is non-negotiable.

At about Stage 3 at the moment
Chiefs fans stages of pre-game anxiety:

Stage 1: We are the best team in football!

Stage 2: We are the best team in football, right?

Stage 3: Where are we the best team in football….specifically?

Stage 4: *panics* Are we the best team in football?

Stage 5: *Wins Super Bowl* Phew. I knew it!

Important to know if you are in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. The headlines all say Kansas, like it’s out in some small town. Wyandotte and Johnson Counties are part of a ~ 2.2 million population area.

Looks like I am watching “Major League” tonight. If you have never seen it, Bob is one of the standouts. So so funny
We are saddened to learn of the passing of Bob Uecker, a legendary ambassador for our game.

After a six-year playing career with the Braves, Cardinals and Phillies from 1962-67, Uecker spent more than half a century as “Voice of the Brewers” beginning in 1971.
