TL;DR is that it will not be coming out in 2025, it is still coming out for sure, and I'm sorry. The new timeline is "it's done when it's done"

I have 100% completed Balatro!

Was a ton of fun to hunt for Completionist++. I play a few runs before bed and it's been a great part of my daily routine. I think it's also equipped me to better design the 1.1 update

Pumped to do it all over again with the new content when it comes out!

This year's Summer Games Fest presentation was really concerned with how few people made a lot of those games, huh?

It feels kinda fucked up. Not just because they're often misrepresntating the real size of these teams, but because I think it's playing directly into a new(ish) flavour of dev hate.

The honest reason I don't have microtransactions/season pass/ads/100 DLCs/etc in Balatro isn't just about the ethics of those practices but because when I play other games that have those things it makes me want to put my computer in the dishwasher and set it to pots & pans

Pointless Balatro lore: When I started Balatro dev I was living in my hometown of Regina, Saskatchewan. I had a bus stop outside my apartment (similar to the one in this image) and I based the art of 'Ride the Bus' on that bus stop!

Every time I see that joker it reminds me of my old apartment
