Dave thanked residents for raising and will see if the lights could be dimmed a bit (not sure it possible) but could certainly have them pointed down more. Anyone else been affected?

We got a response from Dave, director of the Redpath & McLean car dealership on Longstone Rd after residents had contacted us about being blinded by the new lights, particularly turning into Redhall Avenue. Others were concerned how much of the Water of Leith was being lit up at night.

Works progressing on the pedestrian improvements on Kingsknowe Road North. Raised table and build out to come from other side now. This will slow drivers speeds and make it safer to cross from these very narrow pavements on a key route to school and a local park. @livingstreetsedi.bsky.social

It's been agreed by @wolct.bsky.social, Spaces For People,LCC & the residents who own the land in front of the prison, that a phased programme of tree planting can start. Helen & Johnny from WOLCT will lead on this & we are super happy to support. Look out for opportunities to get involved.🌳❤️

We've received a couple of images of the works coming to Kingsknowe Rd North at the junction with Redhall Rd, and the planned improvements for pedestrians at the school entrance. Driver speeds on KRD have long been an issue. Crazy we can't paint a zebra crossing across the school gate in Scotland.

Noisy manhole which is currently set quite low in the carriageway will be repaired this year. Near the top of Kingsknowe Rd South. That'll please a few folk.
