It's always acceptable to beat tf out of a pillow or your mattress or to just sort of have weird hot sauce time. You're a legend, you know yourself, but if you need to hear it IT'S OKAY TO GET WEIRD. Whatever replaces or eases the feeling that keeps you safe.

I'm not against anachronism. I don't vibe w/ historical accuracy pervs. But you need to do storytelling. Look at Luhrmann's Romeo & Juliet. Every costume is part of world building AND drawing your eye in composition. Even if Cathy is a doll in a dollhouse, these dresses tell me nothing.

Emerald Fennell actually completely removes what's sensual, romantic, and raw from Wuthering Heights. The moors haven't come up in her interviews, not really in the trailers, and that's inexcusable. That wildness is crucial & is a replacement for open sensuality in the book.

The press for Wuthering Heights 2026 so far feels very similar to the press for The Crow remake. I wish I were exaggerating or being a bitch. I'm so serious. Having 100 inspirations is nice, but at the end of the day, you need to limit your palette enough to tell a fucking story.

Love when Academy Award winning costume designers go, "yeah, that was hard so uh." Jacqueline Durran did Barbie and Pride & Prejudice (2005). These pieces having no conversation with each other is NOT her fault. This is an Emerald Fennell choice.

When asked about the quotations around Wuthering Heights on posters, Fennell said she knew Wuthering Heights would be "impossible" to ever truly adapt, and listen... if you feel that way, don't adapt it? It has significantly less challenges than something like Lord of the Rings or even The Shining.

Here it is, crammed between rings, as predicted. Maybe an embroidery kit of some kind? And the second photo is a screenshot so that you can see how much advertising, buy links, use ai pls buttons, and forced search terms not clog the screen. We are in HELL!
