Maybe if all these Labour MPs who are unhappy with starving the poor and disabled should do the obvious thing and resign from the Party that wants to. Lets see Starmer cope with half a dozen* angry independent back benchers.

* I can't honestly see any of the other 398 resigning on principle

Trump's attacks on the Department of Education should remind us never to elect to high office anyone without a stake in society. We suffered the same in the UK from 2010, when people who used private healthcare and private schools ripped up public services.

Donald Trump again mimics Putin and calls for an election in Ukraine - falsely claiming Zelensky’s approval rating was “at 4%”

Recent polling in fact shows that Zelensky’s approval rating is better than Trumps

Haha, heard on LBC Nick Abbot show.
Remember when the police used to show up during lockdown at Christmas and make everyone leave your home? I wonder if this service is available now and do you have to book it in advance? Just asking questions! Love you Nick, you make me laugh in a world that is sad

Inspired by @paulalight.bsky.social ‘s WIP, I recall a conversation LBC’s Nick Abbot had with a caller.

CALLER: My house won’t flood in this weather, God willing.

NICK: God willing? Are you telling me that the guy who sat out the holocaust is in any way remotely interested in saving your house?

Seems that many of our esteemed commentariat and lines of Conservative politicians are quite happy to jump on the Musk-Robinson-Tate bandwagon if it suits their agenda - and a chance to damage Starmer and his credibility. You expect it from Farage but others behaving utterly appallingly.

Today is an object lesson in the radicalisation of the British right-wing press. Britain is being disparaged and insulted by a foreign far-right conspiracy theorist. But the Mail, the Express, the Telegraph and even the Times choose focus their criticisism on the British prime minister instead.

I've been critical of Starmer, but he's been excellent today. I hope he maintains his newly-discovered backbone, and realises he's the FUCKING PRIME MINISTER, and can afford to take on the right wing media. In fact, he can't afford not to.
