I am constantly offering to do work from home when I am sick bc I feel guilty, especially during busy times, and then when I am taken up on the offer and try to pull myself semi-upright to work I realize I’m part of the problem here huh

Ok this is the third audiobook I have listened to where the reader pronounces “riffled” with a soft i rather than a hard i…. Am I going crazy? Have I been pronouncing this wrong my whole life? Or is there some audiobook movement to pronounce some words differently just to mess with people?
