I love taking a diagnostic assessment with Very Clear Instructions

the instructions read:

Get the ball into your opponent's net without using your hands.

All you really need is that one basic rule and the whole thing just falls into place. Everything else is organization and edge cases.

I'm going to take a stab at this:

Among the popular US sports, baseball has the highest extrinsic:intrinsic structure and ruleset.

The meaningful verbs are super-limited:
1. Hit the ball [far].
2. Catch the ball.
3. Throw the ball accurately.
4. Pitch the ball cleverly.
