Here's our response to the news that RPI hit 4.8% last month, the figure the Government usually uses to set the following year's annual rail fare rise. This year the fare rise was RPI+1%...could a 5.8% fare rise be on the cards for 2026?

Physical inactivity is estimated to cost the UK £7.4 billion annually (including £0.9 billion to the NHS alone).

Active travel is one of the best return on investment decisions governments can make.

Yet people are still having to campaign for better infrastructure and funding.

Kidical Mass is run by informal local groups with no significant funding or charitable status. They do fantastic grassroots cycling advocacy in a way which is difficult for the usual cycling opponents to attack. Unglamorous crowdfunder but necessary - please contribute!
