$8B would’ve been 3% of his net worth, and $190M is .08%. ~$75 for ordinary working people.

Why does this game keep hitting me in the feelings? why doesn't it just stop?
what a masterfully crafted game

guard: [tearing up] no
wife: would the other guard tell me something happened?

“I THINK PERHAPS YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND. PEOPLE’S WHOLE LIVES DO PASS IN FRONT OF THEIR EYES BEFORE THEY DIE. THE PROCESS IS CALLED “LIVING.” WOULD YOU LIKE A PRAWN?”

(Around 40-ish hours of gameplay)
You climb a tree, you do a puzzle. You climb back the tree. Repeat 7 times. Thanks, I know this tree well enough now.
Didn't do much in this time, got a new sword. Looks cool. Unfortunately, previous sword ha disappeared because Alundra item menu overrides certain stuff. I think it is optional, so I wonder what happens if I get a lower power item on top of a more powerful one...

The puzzles are of two types, there are the good ones, moving things around in complicated patterns, and then there are the "clues" ones, that you have to read.

This game is like Zelda, but all UX people shared a braincell
The game is maliciously hard, which is ok
It is better dying and loading that actually trying to load... because... how do I go back to the main menu, please? I guess that was not important in 1997
