I just want our cruel ruling class to finally face the consequences of their cruelties

Narcissism has become a catch all term for ppl to describe colonialism, capitalism, sexual violence, abuse...

That way when fellow educators strike they don’t piss off parents causing them to become easy prey for cruel anti education scammers

AND if the ruling class chooses to not listen to our demands they can pound sand while we & the parents play a different “game” without the ruling class input

It’s almost like schools are a reflection of the wider society. A society that values & rewards cruelty & the power to avoid facing the consequences of said cruelty

We have the power to stop this. All educators need to do is stop working in their schools and create worker & community owned schools

Even former loved ones who knew my friend lost his life saving his students in Parkland said some version of the above. Thats why I left classroom teaching

I & fellow educators warned everyone if u sacrifice all covid safety u’d be sacrificing everyone & everything - all safety & the profession too

In the summer of 2020 I & fellow teachers were attacked. Adults threw tantrums screeching some form of “Shut up, do your job, or quit. Teachers will die. Kids will get used to the deaths. I selfishly desire schools to be unsafely open so my kids don’t interrupt my ZOOM meetings!”

And please hear me when I say that I don't mean any of this flippantly, or to minimize.

It's the defining feature of this regime, they want to inflict gratuitous violence on everyone who ever slighted them (or even seemed to). They take a grim pleasure in it.

every single org or corporation who chooses fascism over marginalized people needs to be made an example of & publicly humiliated.
