No matter the challenge, Californians continue to meet the moment with resilience, resolve, and results.

While others doubted democracy’s ability to deliver, California proved what’s possible.

I’m grateful for @governor.ca.gov Newsom’s steady, principled leadership over the last 7 years.

Today marks one year since the devastating firestorms tore through SoCal.

We remember the lives lost, honor the communities forever changed, and stand with everyone rebuilding and healing. The Trump Administration needs to approve the federal disaster funding Californians need to fully recover.

California’s coast is NOT for sale. Across party lines, Californians are united in saying NO to offshore drilling and its devastating impacts on our coast.

This fight is just beginning. Trump’s attempt to sell our coastline to oil companies will not stand.

2025 was a year of real progress: protecting rights, expanding opportunity & showing up for communities in every corner of CA. I’m deeply grateful to serve as LG and proud of what we’ve accomplished together.

As we look to 2026, I’m energized, optimistic & ready to keep delivering for Californians.

Merry Christmas, California! 🎄

As the storms move through California this holiday season, it is important to stay prepared and aware of weather conditions before traveling to your destination.

📌 Slow down on wet roads
📌 Avoid flooded areas
📌 Turn around and don’t drown

Stay safe and stay warm!

On #InternationalMigrantsDay, we highlight the strength and contributions of the migrants who power California’s vibrant communities and world-leading economy.

California is proud to stand as a place where migrants can continue to build opportunities for themselves and their families.

If there was ever any doubt the federal government was maliciously targeting the UC, take it directly from the former DOJ lawyers conducting the investigation who said, “It was not about trying to find out what really happened.”

The story of Hanukkah is one of resilience during challenging times. As we celebrate the Festival of Lights, let us stand against all forms of violence & hate.

The tragic loss of Rob Reiner and his wife Michele is incredibly heartbreaking.

Rob’s legacy extends beyond film and television. He championed democracy, civil rights, early childhood education, and marriage equality.

My heart is with their family and loved ones as they grieve this profound loss.

Today is National Wreaths Across America Day, a time to honor our fallen heroes and ensure every legacy lives on.

With more than 1,000 wreaths laid in tribute, we honor the service and sacrifice of those who gave everything for the freedoms we cherish in California and across the nation.

Big win for California: the CSU just saw its biggest enrollment jump in a decade — enrolling over 471,000 students this fall.

That means more first-generation students, more transfer students & more Californians making their dreams come true.

Proud of our CSU community!

On this day of remembrance, California honors the 2,403 lives lost in the tragic attack on Pearl Harbor. We pay tribute to all our fallen heroes, as their stories will continue to shape our nation’s resilience. Their sacrifice to serve will never be forgotten.

Honored to join the incredible team at @glidesf.bsky.social to serve breakfast to our neighbors in the Tenderloin.

At a time when many families are facing food insecurity, GLIDE continues to lead with dignity, love & compassion. Grateful to every volunteer who showed up to lift up our community.

I opposed yesterday’s UC tuition increase because students shouldn’t be the solution to structural deficits.

Californians are struggling to afford basic necessities. Raising tuition only pushes the dream to pursue higher education further out of reach.

The work is by no means done, but this Systemwide Policy represents an important step to fulfilling the CSU’s responsibility towards the Tribal Communities in the state.

It’s National Take a Hike Day, California!

Earlier this year, I hiked through Calaveras Big Trees State Park, a reminder of how lucky we are to call this beautiful state home. Get outside today and soak in that fresh California air.

The return of SNAP benefits is a lifeline for millions of families. But the Republican Big Betrayal Bill guts that progress, slashing funding and imposing harsh work requirements that could rip food off the tables of those who need it most.

Working families deserve support, not these cruel cuts.
