No matter the challenge, Californians continue to meet the moment with resilience, resolve, and results.

While others doubted democracy’s ability to deliver, California proved what’s possible.

I’m grateful for @governor.ca.gov Newsom’s steady, principled leadership over the last 7 years.

Even in the face of Trump-era roadblocks, @uofcalifornia.bsky.social continues to thrive. More than 301,000 students attended one of UC’s 10 campuses over the fall, the largest enrollment number in its history.

California shows once again: nothing can stop our universities from leading the way!

The killing of an unarmed woman by ICE in Minneapolis is a horrific betrayal of American values.

The Trump administration has once again taken a life through unnecessary lethal force—and is already lying about what happened.

We need a full investigation. These attacks on our communities must stop.

Today marks one year since the devastating firestorms tore through SoCal.

We remember the lives lost, honor the communities forever changed, and stand with everyone rebuilding and healing. The Trump Administration needs to approve the federal disaster funding Californians need to fully recover.

“This is no place to try to re-open offshore drilling. The costs are just too high. We are saying no way – not over our efforts to ensure that we keep the Trump administration off of our coastline.” @thecentersquare.bsky.social

California’s coast is NOT for sale. Across party lines, Californians are united in saying NO to offshore drilling and its devastating impacts on our coast.

This fight is just beginning. Trump’s attempt to sell our coastline to oil companies will not stand.

If there was ever any doubt the federal government was maliciously targeting the UC, take it directly from the former DOJ lawyers conducting the investigation who said, “It was not about trying to find out what really happened.”

The tragic loss of Rob Reiner and his wife Michele is incredibly heartbreaking.

Rob’s legacy extends beyond film and television. He championed democracy, civil rights, early childhood education, and marriage equality.

My heart is with their family and loved ones as they grieve this profound loss.

Big win for California: the CSU just saw its biggest enrollment jump in a decade — enrolling over 471,000 students this fall.

That means more first-generation students, more transfer students & more Californians making their dreams come true.

Proud of our CSU community!
