2-3 years ago I saw a UI/UX mockup for an XMPP Client titled "1984". It had a green colorscheme with the mockup being in light mode, showing off a crossplatform IM UI

Not all pollinators are bees... but many still steal the yellow and black striped look.

Been getting back into Blender, and here's one result: my take on the Kestrel from the 2012 game FTL: Faster than Light.
The Kestrel is the only 3D element, everything else is painted in CSP. The Rebel ships are edited sprites from the game.

A Kestrel from FTL shoots down a Rebel ship with its Burst Lasers, leaving a Star Wars-like explosion. In the background, three more Rebel Rigger ships give chase, shooting lasers past the Kestrel, one grazing the hero ship's port engine pylon. A dim, blue nebula and stars are in the distance, motion blurred as though the camera is following the Kestrel. ___ The idea of presenting the Kestrel like this was largely inspired by EC Henry's videos on YouTube, as I really like the clips and illustrations on his channel. Top-down isometric view of my Kestrel model. I wanted to keep is as close to the original as I could in terms of detail locations and silhouette, while adding a couple of touches from earlier concept art from the game. The ship's paint job is worn down like it has already seen action, revealing the metal hull plating underneath the off-white and orange paint job. Side view of the Kestrel. The cockpit sits a bit lower than the aft section of the ship, and the neck connecting it curves upwards underneath. I wanted to give it an interesting silhouette from the side and not wind up with what might as well be the game sprite extruded down and left that way, flying around in much the same way bricks don't. I also made a couple of roundels on the aft and side of the cockpit to represent the Federation. The original Kestrel sprite from the game.
