Somebody dropped their fob down the elevator shaft.
I encountered the elevator man on P3 level when he stepped out of the elevator and climbed down into the pit to retrieve them. I asked him if there was any money down there and he said no. Escalators are where they find the money!

I know invoking Latin terms can be a bit esoteric, and "dementia" is fine and accurate, but I think there's real merit in zeroing in on the relevant legal concept: he is non compos mentis. Not just that he's a batty old man, he is debilitated in a concrete legal sense, fit for conservatorship.

I lived for the past year in a 28 storey downtown building with a large daycare and gym and terrace with some 3 bedroom apartments. Lots of families, even with teenagers. I thought it was a great place to live as a rental.
Coffee shop across the street, grocery and drug stores across the alley.
