I have been working on a story as of late as an impromptu warm-up to returning to university for Creative Writing. This is the current cover; if you're potentially interested in reading it, the Prologue is currently up here:

I can assure you this is not the result of any particular savvy survival techniques. I'd probably just be trying to avoid all the noise so I can read a book in peace when all the horror stuff is going down, just to come back after it's all wrapped up to go "what the hell happened here?" 😅
