You don't need to share location to weather apps, choose one that allows you to add forecasts for different locations. Also don't share location with dating apps - Bumble etc shouldn't need it and it doesn't make you safe or help you find a match for them to know your exact location.

Reading papers is a basic skill (and dare I say duty?) of scientists, and I include medical doctors in that group. Keeping abreast of the literature is a foundational part of our professions. There aren’t good shortcuts. In any case, reading papers regularly is fun.

What's effectively happening here (in the British media at large, too) is the construction of "anti-racism" as somehow a "political alternative" to racism, rather than as a minimal civilisational standard, which in turn (further) vindicates racism as *also* an acceptable political position.

Not only does this imply 'two-sideism' (my favourite bit is designation of anti-racist protesters as "hardcore" - turns out the only thing they were 'hardcore' about is techno) but also a physical conflict.
