I’ve been working on a little cartoon series on this exact topic.

It turns out even with daily irrefutable evidence, we can still have mass & institutional denial of reality.

And oppression of truth.

From our most trusted sources.

Thank you @davemilbo.bsky.social for this great article.

I’ve finally remembered to share more of my cricket art on my insta account.

So if you like cricket art (and more) popping up in your feed (if the algorithm allows lol), feel free to go give me a follow over there too!

I’m an artist wanting to raise awareness of the current drought in Vic & SA.

I have 2 qns:

1. Are there any charities supporting these farms/communities I can direct people to?

2. Are any farmers willing to send me some photos I can use as references for my artwork? I’d love to show real places
It’s really bad in western Vic. Almost no autumn rain
THE DROUGHT IN VICTORIA

The farms are beyond struggling.

I'm hearing from family, they've been trucking in water since December. They're on their last bit of feed. They'll have to sell their livestock by next month.

Accessible social media content for #pwME, #LongCovid #ChronicIllness #disability

I’m putting together some polls for my Insta stories asking about accessibility needs for those who have them.

Eg. prefer voiceover or written caption; music with lyrics, without lyrics or silence?

When I use Google now I just automatically scroll past the AI summaries like they’re banner ads
This is really important. Do NOT use the AI summaries at the top of google searches. Ignore them. This is especially important if you don't have any prior knowledge about the topic, but also a good general rule.

Search sources, scrutinize them carefully and double-check with other sources.
Google’s AI Overviews will not only confirm that a gibberish idiom is a real saying, it will also tell you what it means and how it was derived -- often including reference links.

Yesterday I saw an artist who uses teeny miniature figurines & photographs them in/on vegetables etc. And at that scale the ‘landscape’ looks huge.

This provoked a heap of ideas of how I could use this concept to both depict #pwME, and be a visual escape especially for bed and house bound people.

Question for blind & low vision people.

I’m currently looking into turning my art into clothing merch. And I’m wondering if you like embroidered items?

I’m thinking simple line art type style, so the shapes & lines are clear.

Thoughts?
