Nein das norwegische Friedensnobelpreis-Kommittee „trollt“ Trump nicht, sie „wischen“ ihm auch nicht eins aus und haben das nicht „extra“ gemacht. Preisträgerin Machado steht seit Wochen fest. Dieser ganze Vorgang hat nichts mit Trump zu tun. Es sind eigene Verdienste. Bringt ihn nicht rein.

For scaling up a process for production you need to rethink everything. The desired grain size and size distribution, solvents, counter-ions, probably emulsifiers to keep the grains from settling. Then there are purification steps, environmental questions etc.
There's a world of differences.

What makes me suspicious is that those materials are essentially absorbers, and that's a major industry. If MOFs were really such a game changer they should have made inroads into industrial absorbents by now, I feel.

I'm a especially annoyed with the Nobel comittee for going on about potential applications. They could have just said MOFs are a cool concept and the first real 3D chemical synthesis. It's a bit thin for a Nobel in my view, but defensible.

Aus meiner Sicht war das schon so, nur eben primär bezogen auf das Verhältnis zwischen Unternehmen, Gewerkschaften und Staat. Das war ja im Kalten Krieg, und grad Konservative hatten Angst vor pro-Kommunistischen Regungen in der Arbeiterschaft.

Nein, Sicher nicht. Es ist ja heute fast durchgehend besser. Für Verklärung gibt es keinen Grund. Das sind nur drei Punkte, in denen man aus meiner Sicht ne Verschlechterung feststellen kann.

Puh, schwierig. Die Wohnkosten waren niedriger, der "soziale Friede" war noch politische Kategorie und der Klimawandel war noch einfangbar.
Ansonsten war fast alles schlechter oder schlimmer. Außer dass wir halt jung waren.
