Still a mad library scientist, even if I'm no longer a librarian. Once you put on the cardigan, it never really comes off.
Do you love me, or do you love the fact that I can carry my own weight? That I am the first person not to make demands, or manipulate you, or get angry at you to get my own way.

Do I love you, or do I just love not being alone anymore? #ExistintialCrisis #RelationshipsAreHard

If you like quiet horror comics, check out "Everything is Fine" on Webtoons.

I'm so disappointed that I'll never get to talk to my dad about this series.

Everything is Fine
Sam and Maggie are a normal couple, in a normal house, in a normal neighborhood. There is nothing strange about their heads, their neighbors or their sweet little dog. Everything is Fine.

Places you really don't want to hear the shutter sound event of a camera:

The bathroom stall next to yours

Bonus points for the bathroom being at work.

I really wish mental health doctors/facilities would realize have damaging their strict policies can be.

My doctor's office has a policy that if you are 10 minutes late for your appointment, it has to be rescheduled.

Today I was 11 minutes late. I drive an hour to get to their office.

We are about to enter an era of extreme and dangerous culture war in the United States. How do we protect our communities and work toward a cultural ceasefire? In this piece I wrote a couple months ago, I offer one possible path. wapo.st/40q1BDn
Opinion | Libraries can help end the culture wars. That’s why they’re under fire.
Nothing threatens authoritarianism like a free, quiet place to absorb a full range of information.

Never added something to my to-read list so fast. Great article--can't wait to get my hands on the book it covers.

On second thought, this would play out better with 2 people: one reading the catalog info in a calm Stepford wives voice, and the other reading the commentary with a smoky New York "I'm walkin' here" attitude.

Part of me just wants to narrate this in my snooty voice like some fucked up one-act play. Getting ever so more unhinged as it goes.
