This right wing perpetuum mobile is just astounding.

They cut the society and often the economy too to pieces -> centre left is elected to repair the damages -> repairing is much slower than tearing down, and costs money -> the right screams "fiscal irresponsibility!" and is elected again
Yep, the problem being that for the right wing it is more beneficial to keep finland in a dire economic state so they can use austerity to widen the gap between social classes & justify busting unions in the name of "productivity".

There never was an intent to solve problems

Defense Minister Belousov also pushed the drone branch deadline to 2026. It was supposed to be ready by mid-2025.

It's frustrating how Russia has built this entire myth of invincibility around itself. It lost the Crimean war, a war with Japan in 1905, the first world war, an invasion of Poland in 1920, and in Afghanistan. It won the second world war only with Allied logistical support.

Ru will collapse suddenly like a house of cards.

Too many have accepted the ridiculous idea that aggressor/defender aren't distinct categories. They nod to Lavrov's bs, believing that if Europe doesn't arm itself, Ru wouldn't attack. When Ru does attack more of Europe, the Mearsheimerites will blame NATO for not disbanding itself.
Lavrov stated that Europe is in a "militaristic frenzy," while also saying that if Europe wants to fight, Russia is always ready.

The EU aims to agree by Friday on a long-term freeze of Russian central bank assets, a major legal shift that would remove the need to renew the freeze every six months. This would block veto threats from Hungary or Slovakia and pave the way for using the €210B as collateral for loans to Ukraine.
