Hi #writersky! My current main WIP is "The king-eaters' grief", a self-indulgent fantasy novel set in a 19th c set in the Cretaceous. It follows disillusioned ex-general Athanasios and furious single mother Hannelore as they reckon with war, justice, and redemption.

This was a difficult scene to write. I am not genderfluid so writing how it feels to be so, especially without the modern terms and understanding was complicated. But it's part of what makes Henry who she is and I loved getting to show that.

I've made a bit of progress on this watercolour painting, today! It'd be nice to finish something again soon.
It's always a bit tricky to work traditionally with symmetry. I have to lean over the piece with a mirror to make sure things stay even!
