Merry Christmas, good folks of Blue Sky.

May your day be festive, full of warmth, love and good tidings.

Even in the darkest days there are reasons to be hopeful. To be grateful.

I am grateful for you. 🙏🏼

"It's A Wonderful Life" isn't just a feel-good holiday classic (and my favorite movie of all time).

It's also a warning about what happens when greed runs the economy.

Remember: Almost all of us are the descendants of immigrants who fled persecution, or were brought to America under duress, or sought better lives for themselves and their descendants.

Politicians who stoke fear and hatred over immigration want you to forget this.

Do not.

Protests are our democratic right, it allows us a voice and has changed laws and even society.

This ‘Labour’ government wants to curtail that right through various other Bills and stop it all together through the Crime and Policing Bill

SNAP is a lifeline for workers in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.

Human rights are universal - politicians may not always find them politically convenient but it shouldn’t fall to any gov’t to say who those rights should & should not apply to. If that happens than none of us has rights, just privileges that can be taken away by people in power whenever they want

And politicians are taken aback that we are VERY ANGRY!
The differential between the richest and the poorest in this country is HUGE- and politicians, living in their privileged bubble can’t even see it!
A country in the top 10 of wealth has the highest pension age and the lowest pension in Europe. More foodbanks than McDonald’s and ignore corporate theft. We are being fucked over a barrel by the rich.

The big lie. There is no shortage of money. The rich are getting richer. Global wealth has increased significantly over time, but it is distributed very unfairly. The total amount of money & assets in the world has nearly quadrupled since the year 2000. Pension age should actually be reducing.

It's shocking isn't it (or maybe it isn't...), that during a global pandemic when hundreds of thousands of British people were dying, many alone in hazmat suits unable to touch their loved ones, Tories were busy working out how to make shed loads of cash from our suffering without getting caught.
