Many political journalists can only write about vibes & who, despite being completely ensconced in the gallery brain bubble, believe they know what voters care about.

They are a big reason why media sites never hold an audience even after big news events - their schtick is transparently pointless.

One of many Cambridge street watercolours I did 30-40 years ago. Working on the spot uniquely preserves memories and feelings. The shop signs at that time in Green St were extravagantly beautiful and the passers by were sketched in quickly. Still have this one.

On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me: six geese-a-laying, FIVE GOLD RINGS, four calling birds, three French hens, two turtle doves, and a partridge in a pear tree. Goose, calling bird, hen, dove, partridge and pear omelette. Yum.

This is Coe Fen in Cambridge, a watercolour drawing from 1998. The tower in the middle distance is the Pitt Building and the other tower is the United Reform Church. This was done on the spot with watercolour and Indian ink.

Good morning & welcome to Whiskers Wednesday

Kindness is free.
Go on and sprinkle that stuff everywhere.
A smile, a gentle word, a tiny moment of patience , it all adds up to something bigger than we realise.

Be kind
