It's easy to lose sight of this because the whole situation is rage-inducing but as someone who knows a thing or two about PR, and *crisis PR* specifically, Itch seems to be making the best choices it can in an awful situation. For any quibbling over words/phrasing used comm have been v transperent.
Yeah, just spelling it out here: Valve is a multi-billion-dollar corporate run storefront that skims 30% off the entire PC games industry.
Itch is a handful of people running a scrappy indie games n' smut store on literal donations. They *recommend* giving 10% to support them, but don't demand it.

I think there’s also a misunderstanding of itch as some big corporate platform like Steam or the App Store and not just like a website a few people have built and kept together for a decade so people can share their weird art.
