In this New Year’s Eve my thoughts are with the Palestinians in Gaza
From Gaza, a New Year unlike any other:

While the world celebrates, 2.4 million Palestinians who endured 283 days of genocide in 2025, are now fighting to survive winter.

Families shelter in flooded tents, yet resilience fills every frame. Survival is resistance, and hope refuses to be erased.

Another outrageous action. The Netanyahu govt is banning over 30 aid orgs — including CARE, Mercy Corps & Doctors Without Borders groups — from providing life-saving aid to people in Gaza.

Another betrayal of humanity. And, once again, the Trump Admin says and does nothing.
Israel to bar 37 aid groups as UK and EU warn of impact in Gaza
Israel's move is criticised by 10 countries, which say the new registration rules for international NGOs are "restrictive" and "unacceptable".

NPR reported today that the overwhelming majority of the aid Israel is allowing into Gaza is *commercial.*

In other words, Israel is banning free food and shelter aid and only allowing in goods that Palestinians have to buy.

With money they don't have.

If Ms. Rachel's mere empathy for Palestinian children is framed as being 'pro-Hamas', imagine how international humanitarian workers risking lives to save children are portrayed. Aid helps people survive on their land - threatening goal of displacement.

Let that sink in.

Can’t have humanitarian aid groups that tell the truth, deliver aid, save lives, and don’t randomly massacre people trying to access aid.
Israel says it will suspend several humanitarian groups, including Doctors Without Borders, in 2026 for failing its new vetting rules for groups working in Gaza. Some international organizations have said that Israel’s rules are arbitrary and could endanger staff.

NVIDIA should herd all the bozos who bought their overpriced GPUs to Egypt. The country has 30+ GW in un-utilized electric generation capacity. Though it is a bring your own LNG situation over there.
