The judge gets this exactly right. The allegiance the child owes to the sovereign is in exchange for the protection the sovereign provides to a person in infancy.
This is the reciprocal relationship between subject and king; or citizen and republic, that has long been protected by the common law.

I don’t love small talk anyway, but I *hate* when people ask me “how is work?!” I work in family law so I think people expect me to have some hilarious stories, but all my clients are DV victims so there is just no way to talk about that in pleasant dinner conversation. Work is not fun! It is work!😭

I am less and less inclined to believe #DefundThePolice messaging was the failure for Dems that so many say it was, when the GOP just won on threatening to abolish the DOJ & FBI.

RFK Jr.’s target demo is wealthy white women who are terrified of becoming disabled but also actively believe in eugenicist policies. Same with the “wellness” industry. If you squint really hard, you might find some reasonable beliefs & recommendations, but that’s not their goal.
