Reading the story about the woman in Georgia who is brain dead and on a vent but not allowed to die with dignity because she was 9 weeks pregnant when she was declared brain dead. Even in death, our bodies are not our own.

State-owned property.

What happened to all that outrage when Republicans were pissed at DEMs for not standing to clap when trump used a cancer survivor kid as a political prop?

Y'all are pretty fucking quiet after he deported that 4 year old cancer patient, you fake Christians.

These people just lie and lie and lie and make up stuff.
The ridiculous Pamela Jo Bondi claims that fentanyl seizures since Trump retook office have saved 258 million lives (the US only has a total population of 340 million.)

The *truth* is that from Jan 2025 (Biden) to February 2025 (Trump), fentanyl seizures were DOWN 41%.

Right??
Seriously, why is RFK Jr worried about dyes in food when his department is cutting safety standards for milk and chicken?

Today I saw a video of some politician in some hearing about how the constitution works (re: moves to impeach judges) kind of stumbling over her words, and sounding like she said President Chump instead of Trump. Probably not intentional, but accurate 😂😂

Merriam- Webster's social media posts always crack me up
The “in effect; virtually” meaning of 'literally' is not a new sense.

It has been in regular use since the 18th century and may be found in the writings of Mark Twain, Charlotte Brontë, James Joyce, and many others.

Finally got. Chance to listen through to the end of OK Go's new album today. The whole album is solid, but dang, this song. ❤️❤️ Wow. What a moving, soothing, gentle encouragement.

Y'all should read this thread
The House just passed its budget resolution, so reconciliation is now officially underway. This is their bill to destroy Medicaid and SNAP while cutting taxes disproportionately for the rich.

THIS IS VERY REAL and can be enacted even if all Ds vote no.

Thread on what's to come and WHERE TO FIGHT.

A tricky thing about modern society is that no one has any idea when they don’t die.

Like, the number of lives saved by controlling air pollution in America is probably over 200,000 per year, but the number of people who think their life was saved by controlling air pollution is zero.
