Make sure everyone you know hears about #ICELawlessness & knows the story of US CITIZEN & IRAQ WAR VETERAN, George Retes.

"ICE officers used tear gas, broke his car window, and applied physical force, including kneeling on him, while he complied with their instructions."

Is this freedom?

Yes! It’s not either/or; it’s both/and.
From a letter written by Francis Schaeffer in 1970. Still true in 2025.

That "Due Process" is even a contentious issue now shows how our broken country has moved from the values of whose who wrote our Constitution. We are a country adrift.

Don’t be afraid to say: some or all of the 250 or so sent to the gulag in El Salvador may in fact be really, really bad and violent people. Point conceded. The issue isn’t whether they are violent criminals. The issue is what it means for the rest of us if a rogue president can snap his fingers

Reminder: Scripture is neither progressive nor conservative. Neither is one's praxis. Praxis either emulates Christ or it does not. Political labels do not apply. Those who define scripture or praxis with political labels invariably are those with little demonstrable witness of Christ.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. I’m 71 now. I love Jesus & I like my volunteer work & I like to travel & I like videos of cute little kittens & I’m a political orphan. (Or an outcast, take your pick.) It’s okay with me if you think any of those things are silly. (Oh, & I’m a Navy vet & ⭐️ mom.)
Here’s what people don’t understand. When y’all make fun of us boomers, we number one can’t hear you and we number two are too old to care what you think and we number three are too busy looking at animal reels to be bothered. And we number hundred are zero embarrassed about any of it.

From Isaiah 40. God’s arm is that of a mighty ruler and that of a gentle shepherd. Both are true. They are not mutually exclusive. It’s not multiple choice. By opting for one at the expense of the other we dishonor him and impoverish ourselves.

I am about halfway through this book, and I have no words to describe the impact it is having on me. This may be the most concept-changing book I have read since C. S. Lewis’s Mere Christianity or J. I. Packer’s Knowing God.

(Besides the Bible, naturally.)
